The Elite supreme greenhouse requires a base of some description, whether it is timber, aluminium or brick. Elite offer a separate 5 inch tall aluminium base. Aluminium is provided, as it will not be discolor or rust and can also be powdered coated to suit your greenhouse unlike other base materials. Opting for an aluminium base not only eliminates the need for the traditional brick base but also allows you to sit the greenhouse straight onto any solid foundation, soil or grass. Elite's aluminium bases can only be guaranteed to fit an Elite greenhouse.

Elite greenhouse Bar Capping provides a stronger hold for the glazing, and also adds a decorative finish to any greenhouse. The rubber fin also adds a better water seal between the frame and the glass. Capping is used in addition to spring clips so in effect will add double protection which is ideal in more exposed areas. The capping is simply tapped into position where the unique serrated peg engages with the aluminium bar, which as you can see, does not leave any unsightly screw heads showing like some other makes.

Elite offer two sizes of ridged moulded plastic barrels up to a capacity of 210 litres (46 gallons) to compliment the rainwater kits. Insulation extends plant life and can enable earlier propagation of plants, especially during the winter months when growth is much slower and frost protection is crucial.
Each kit is 30ft. x 2ft.5in. and comes complete with fittings to attach the UVI treated insulation to the framework and is guaranteed for 5 years against discolouration.
Elite recommend that if you do insulate your greenhouse, an allowance for ventilation is required to prevent damping off and the formation of disease.

Over exposure to the sun can often scorch leaves, especially if the roof section is south facing.

Attached to the inside of the framework to allow a roof vent to reduce the greenhouse temperature, the netting provides a good shade system for plants through dissipating the sun's rays and preventing burning.

ELECTRIC FROST SHEILD 3KW HEATER

The Frost shield is a multi purpose device with added power for larger greenhouses. It provides the ideal environment for seeding and propagation by gently heating the air with its thermostatic control which can also be converted into a cooling unit for the warmer summer conditions. At 26cm high, it is splash proof and comes with a carry handle and flame guard casing as standard.
